a new variant of its Flightcell DZMx, the Flightcell
DZMx Plus, a replacement for legacy Iridium satellite
equipment with a new form factor.
Unlike the DZMx that was designed for the cockpit,
the new Flightcell DZMx Plus mounts to an existing
tray in the aircraft's avionics bay. It is a straight LRU
swap-out for tray-mounted satcom tracking systems,
simplifying installation, but operators may want to add
an additional cellular blade antenna to take advantage
of the DZMx's cellular voice and data capabilities,
the company said. With the DZMx Plus, Flightcell
is simplifying the process of legacy equipment
replacement with the latest satellite and cellular
technology, at minimal expense and downtime.

Garmin International
Some new products announced each year at the
AEA's New Product Introductions are evolutionary,
developed from an existing line. Others are brandnew to the company. For 2020, Garmin International
did both, introducing the GI 275 series of electronic
flight instruments and announcing an upgrade to the
company's popular panel-mounted GPS navigators,
the GTN 650/750 to the GTN 650Xi and GTN 750Xi
configuration. Both have received FAA approval and
are available for installation in a wide variety of aircraft
models.
