conventional ergonomics and Flextext annunciator technology
for panel legend customizing and field replacement. Normal/

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics manufactures,
overhauls and repairs aircraft instruments, avionics and
advanced power solutions for the global aerospace industry.
The company manufactures more than 25,000 units per
year and processes more than 15,000 units in its overhaul,
exchange and repair operation. New from the company in
2022 are five 2-inch digital instruments in its Flex product line:
digital counter drum encoding altimeters, airspeed indicators,
GPS clocks, battery ACUs and attitude indicators.
The new Flex digital counter drum encoding altimeter
is certified to 55,000 feet with user-selectable functions:
vertical speed indication, six-second vertical trend, altitude
target, approach minimums alert and barometric setting. The
Flex digital airspeed indicator features a hybrid readout and
configurable range markings, and can display groundspeed
and true airspeed, with appropriate ARINC input, plus a
configurable " barber pole " and maximum Mach number.
The Flex digital GPS clock features nine functions and can
be synced with a GPS source, while the digital battery ACU
offers various metrics on the electrical system's health. The
Flex digital attitude indicator also provides slip indications via
an optional magnetometer available in late 2022.
The True Blue Power division also brought some new
products to New Orleans. The company announced adding
the TWC15 series of Qi-compliant wireless chargers, with up
to 15 watts of power for portable devices. The new wireless
chargers are available in three configurations.
True Blue Power additionally introduced a new 4,000-watt
AC-to-AC frequency converter built specifically to withstand
the harsh operating environment of the " hell hole " in large
business jets, commercial and special-mission aircraft.
The company said the TFC4000 is the lightest frequency
converter in its power class and provides 15% more power
than competing units.

PS Engineering
" Today, I'm pleased to introduce new capabilities to
the PAC45 series, " said Gary Picou, PS Engineering vice
president. " These are all capabilities that the operators and
installers have asked for. "
Among the new features for the company's PAC45 series
of audio controllers are TXI capability (transmit with intercom,
which stays active during transmissions), RXI (in which the
control head indicates which com radio is receiving) and a
reversionary mode, allowing the system to automatically
reconfigure itself to assure continuous operation. PS
Engineering also added an artificial transmit sidetone for
digital systems and a simulcast feature, allowing transmission
on multiple radios at the same time.
PS Engineering has added capabilities to the PAC45 series of audio controllers.
Adding to the list, Picou told attendees, " We now offer a
great array of control-head options, again, fully customizable
to suit the preference or mission requirements. We've got
horizontal, we've got vertical, we've got toggle switches, night
vision - black and gray inverted - 2-inch and 3-inch Dzusmount,
all of which are easily interfaced with six wires.
" PS Engineering has teamed with the completion centers
