WELCOME TO IFAI EXPO
Welcome to Charlotte!
O
n behalf of the Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) Board
of Directors, members and staff, welcome to IFAI Expo. This
will be the last expo known as IFAI as we will launch a new
brand, beginning in 2023, that will be announced while
we're in Charlotte.
Also, welcome to a new era for your association. IFAI was
renamed ATA in June 2022 and a new logo was launched shortly
thereafter. After much discussion it was time for a change and to
identify barriers to our growth. We want to be more inclusive and
represent companies and markets who have felt that we couldn't
provide value. At the same time, we wouldn't be in our 110th year
without our core market segments who are now even
more important than ever before. Our industries and
markets are changing, and we need to change with them.
IFAI Expo has been an important part of your association

since its inception. The gathering of our industries and
markets for networking, education, information, and fun
have been synonymous with IFAI and its predecessors
(National Tent and Awning Association, National Canvas
Goods Manufacturers Association and Canvas Products
Association International). Beginning next year, the expo
name will be rebranded to clearly state that it's the hallmark
event of your trade association, one that provides member value every
day, not just during the four days of expo.
We're delighted to be with you again in Charlotte. This year you'll
notice the start of some subtle changes in the look and feel of the
event. Education will be a priority as part of our goal to make expo
the place to learn and gather the cutting edge information to help
you stay ahead of the curve and help your business grow.
Another change you'll see this year is that we're co-locating with
Sun Shading Expo North America. Our partner in this venture is
Messe Stuttgart, who produces the successful R+T in Germany and
we're happy to be working with this organization. Although COVID
held us back a year, we think you'll love the value of having access
to two trade shows with your registration. Sun Shading Expo North
America complements expo with a focus on interior sun shading.
As always, your feedback is important and if you have ideas
on how to improve the value of IFAI Expo please reach out,
we're always listening.
We have a great week of events and activities planned and
look forward to seeing you.
