The slope was eroding and contaminating the stream with sediment. This slope was also in a pipeline's right-of-way area. To ensure the safety of the pipeline and surrounding property, the slope needed a long-term, high-performance stabilization solution to correct the failing slope and prevent issues in the future. Two of Solmax's (formerly Propex) products were recommended for this project. Scourlok® was utilized to stabilize the toe of the slope at the creek bottom. To create a stable slope, Armormax® Engineered Earth Armoring System™ was utilized by combining high-performance turf reinforcement mats (HPTRMs) and Engineered Earth Anchors™ (EEA) that work together to lock soil in place and protect against hydraulic stresses. Next, two of Profile Products' products were recommended. To improve the likelihood of successful vegetation, ProGanics™ Biotic Soil Media™ was sprayed on top of the Armormax. Flexterra® flexible growth medium was the final " glue " to stabilize the slope surface, supply moisture support for the vegetation establishment and ensure the seeding remained in place until root establishment is maintained. ASP Enterprises supplied the materials for this project and supported the contractor with product selection and on-site product installation guidance. G
