Petrogas International (PGI) provides customer driven catalytic solution in the petrochemical, chemical and bio-chemical
sectors for catalyst suppliers and direct catalyst users through Alumina/ceramic products, catalysts and its manufacturing
expertise. Thus, PGI has become a "One-Stop" supplier of both standard high purity Alumina-ceramic and catalyst products.
Our product portfolio is diverse and includes activated Alumina adsorbents, activated Alumina desiccants, activated Carbon
for Mercury removal, Alumina balls, Carbon molecular sieves, Carbon Raschig rings, gamma Alumina rings, ceramic balls,
ceramic ferrules, Chloride adsorbents, Claus catalysts, desulfurization catalysts, molecular sieves, COS removal catalysts,
Silica based catalysts, tabular Alumina, and Anthracite. Within each product offering further grades are available.
Our clientele is diverse and includes several dozen companies from various market sectors, including petrochemical and
refineries, fertilizers producers, steel manufacturers and chemical manufacturers.
We are expanding our resources in the USA to create additional business and we are storing products at Houston for
our steady customers. We have secured business from a few majors but our goal is to secure such business on a regular,
contractual basis.
Our most sought-out products by the catalyst manufacturers are high purity Alumina balls, high purity Alumina tablets,
chloride guard beds, Claus catalysts, and molecular sieves. Our products are at the very minimum equivalent in specifications
and performance to the catalysts that are manufactured by our major catalyst companies.
Our current technology focus is to develop products to meet global initiatives (low sulfur, low NOx, COS, & mercury) as
well as to optimize the major products we sell.
Petrogas International (PGI) Overview
Petrogas International is a division of VAM Technologies and Group based in London, UK. VAM Technologies was established
in 1981 and is one of the holding companies of PGI. PGI is well-established and highly respected by catalyst manufacturers
and catalyst users as a supplier of catalysts and supports.
For decades, Petrogas has been committed to catalyst-science, chemical manufacturing and have acquired a profound
understanding of the wide applications of Alumina/Ceramic based technology and separation technology.
It operates in several regions - UK, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, South America, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Russia,
South East Asia & Far East.
Plant operations are in India, China, UK and Germany. In, India, we have plants in Durgapur, Eastern India and a new one
under construction in Southern India. In China, we have two manufacturing plants located in Jiangxi and Shandong provinces.
Our analytical and pilot facilities are located at Alappuzha, Southern India. In addition, PGI manufactures products for major
catalyst producers at discrete sites under NDA agreements.
The operations in India and China are managed by the Director of Middle East, Mr. Joseph Baby. He also heads the marketing
group that sells catalysts and supports to clientele located in the Middle East and South East Asia regions.
In 2017, PGI established a beach head in USA to create revenue and appointed Dr. Krishna Rao as Advisor of Petrogas Catalysts
and supports, USA, LLC located in Houston. He provides catalytic guidance, technology guidance, develops competitive
landscape and actionable intelligence for some of our clients.
PGI truly is a "One-stop Shop" for supplying catalysts, bed supports, bed toppings, carriers, mist eliminators, adsorbents &
associated materials to the Petrochemical and Chemical processing industries for several market sectors of oil companies,
refineries and gas liquefaction plants, fertilizer, steel, power plants, defense, space and application-oriented companies
such as paint, textile, etc.
PGI personnel are true specialists in the manufacturing of commercial and custom catalysts, because its plants in India and
China have the most modern equipment & machinery, state-of-the-art manufacturing devices for sphere extrusion, sizing
and shaping. Such equipment are essential for the degree of precision and sophistication we achieve in our production.
Today we supply on-time many leading international companies with custom tailored ISO-certified products in kilograms and
tons quantities. We also offer the services of our catalyst expert for custom tailoring the products to fit the process needs.
We take pride in delivering cost-effective solutions tailor fitted to the process needs. We are actively seeking new customers
