CSWA's 2021 Year in Review
The California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance - created by
CAWG and Wine Institute in 2003 - recently shared its 2021 Year
in Review highlighting several accomplishments.
* Published the 2020 California Wine Community Sustainability
Report to share progress in adoption of sustainable practices
with key stakeholders.
* Launched a new Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing
website for trade and consumers.
* Completed two 2.5-year Specialty Crop Block Grant projects
totaling nearly $535,000 to provide tools to assist wineries and
vineyards with regulatory compliance, and to jointly promote
sustainable winegrowing with the New York, Oregon and
Washington wine industries.
* Hosted the second U.S. Sustainable Winegrowing Summit in
April 2021 (over 464 attendees from 16 states and 19 countries).
* Recognized by the Drinks Business Green Awards with a
special commendation for the Amorim Sustainability Award in
the Wine, Beer and Cider category.
