Adult Karate
Age: 11+ / Community Center
The America Society of Karate in sponsored by City of
Baytown Parks and Recreation is now registering for
Karate classes. This year round (four sessions of 10
weeks each) beginner to black belt program will teach
techniques in the art, sport, self-defense and kidnapping
awareness aspects to increase your self-confidence.
David Lange has been the same certified instructor in
La Porte since 1994.

Self Defense
Age: 13+ / Community Center
This self-defense class will give you the building blocks
and self-confidence to defend yourself. We provide hand
to hand experience and various scenarios to practice. If
you attended the last Self-Defense class, this class will
have more advanced techniques.
Our Karate instructor, David Lange, has been instructing
the Self-Defense classes for the past seven years at the
Community Center. Mr. Lange's goal is to keep you safe
and confident.
During the two and half hours, you will learn to defend
yourself from different attacks by front, rear, or side. We
provide hand-to-hand experience and various scenarios
to practice. You will work with a partner. You can bring
your spouse, significant other, relative, friend, or you
could work with our extra people that will be on-hand.
Finally, Mr. Lange will give you the tools and vital information
to help keep you safe.
If you have been to one of these classes already, come
get a refresher course and learn some of the updated
material we have added. Must sign waiver.

Wine & Design Painting
Age: 21+ / Evergreen Park
Nothing brings people together quite like a little wine
and a great time! We believe in the importance of celebrating
life's special occasions, so we created the perfect
place to unwind while having fun with instructor Delencia
from Artistic Procreations! We'll bring the paint and
the fun! Great for couples, girls night out, friends outing,
team building and more. Two glasses of wine provided
along with hors-d'oeuvres. All materials will be provided.

Murder Mystery Dinner at Evergreen
Age: 21+ / Evergreen Clubhouse
Help the crowd and the detective figure out who ruined
this totally tubular evening, so everyone can like, take
a chill pill. Join us for a night of mystery, mayhem, and
murder at the Evergreen Clubhouse. Enjoy a three-course
meal. One complimentary glass of wine in a souvenir
wine glass. Wine and Beer available for purchase from
Dirty Daquiri's. An ID is required the day of the event.

Photo Classes
Age: 15+ / Community Center
Photo classes bring together amateur and professional
photographers and editors in the Baytown area. These
classes are a great place to:
* Learn about photography from fellow members
* Learn about upcoming photography events (exhibitions,
field trips, workshops)
* Display and have your work critiqued
* Get and share good sources of photography-related
information.
Classes take place on the first Tuesday of each month
from 6:30-8:00 PM.
