FROM THE PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR
HELLO BAYTOWN!
Summer is both an exciting and busy time for our Parks and Recreation
Department. You may not know this, but Baytown's Parks and Recreation team
is divided into four divisions (Parks, Recreation, Aquatics, and Environmental
Education) to better serve our community. This summer, each one of these
divisions is offering a variety of opportunities for residents and guests to
participate in events, programs, classes, camps, and activities, as well as ways
to discover new amenities and recreational opportunities throughout Baytown.
In this guide, we are excited to promote various FREE concerts being held live at
Bicentennial Park, with bands such as The Four Tops, Vanilla Ice, The Band Perry,
and more! We are also very proud of the recent improvements we have made at
Pirates Bay, including enhanced landscaping, new rental opportunities, and an
all new gift shop featuring customized keepsakes.
Whether you choose a relaxing afternoon of bird watching at the Baytown Nature
Center, planning an exciting trip to Pirates Bay, or exploring some of our almost
32 miles of trails, we hope that you and your family will find this guide useful when
deciding how to enjoy your city.
