www.parkworld-online.com The Euro Attractions Show EAS moves to Southern
Europe for the first time at the end of January, visiting the attractive
Spanish city of Seville. Park World looks ahead to three important days
for the amusement industry in Andalucia. Staged by IAAPA and EAASI, the
show is supported this time by the Spanish parks association AEPA and the
national suppliers’ collective AFEMO, as well as several other European
trade bodies.“We are really excited to host EAS 2007 in Spain,” says
AEPA operative secretary Lamberto Fresnillo. “The educational sessions
and exhibit floor will represent the most exciting and innovative ideas.
This show is a must for anyone doing business in the industry.” Located
in the Andulucian region, it is hoped Seville will provide a welcome
winter retreat for visitors from Northern Europe. A beautiful city, it is
also home to the Isla Magica amusement park, which celebrates its 10th
anniversary in 2007. EAS attendees will be able to take a
behind-the-scenes tour of the park on the second day of the show. Around
150 manufacturers and suppliers are expected to exhibit on the two-room
showfloor, including many of the industry’s big names, and after last
year’s unofficial ’boycott’ in Vienna, many Italian names will be
back again too. Since IAAPA became involved in the EAS, it has steadily
grown the education and seminar programme and in Seville there are some
promising sessions planned, plus a comprehensive 4-day AEPA Institute,
providing a detailed study of branding, mar keting and services standards
for attractions. The Euro Attractions Show 2007 takes place from Tuesday
to Thursday, January 30 to February 1 at the FIBES Convention Center,
Seville, Spain. Limited direct flights are available to Seville, but
connections are available via Madrid, or it’s a 2-hour drive from
Malaga. For more details on travel, registration and a full education
programme see www.euroas.com EAS 2007 ShowPlanner January 30 to February 1
