NEW INCENTIVES MILWAUKEE The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District announced in January that it would re-activate its Regional Green Roof Initiative. The initiative will provide up to $5 per square foot of an approved green roof project. The roof, which must have a minimum three-inch media depth, must be completed within two years. SYRACUSE Syracuse, NY's Green Infrastructure Fund, part of its Save the Rain program, is granting funding to select green roof projects.The fund will provide up to $20 per square foot towards green roof projects. For more information go to: www.savetherain.us AUSTIN Austin, Texas Green Roof Density Bonus was passed in December 2011. The installation of a green roof on a new construction project can yield a density bonus of up to eight square feet for every square foot of green roof installed.
