Paint the town fuschia
F
or 64 years, riot! has entertained ryerson university with original sketches
written and performed primarily by rtA students. this year, for the first time
ever, riot! performed at the second city Mainstage – the same place that launched
comedy legends colin Mochrie, Mike Myers and John candy. show producer simon
Paluck and co-producer shreya khanna set it up so rtA talent could be showcased
at a professional level. the cast of the show “Paint the town fuschia,” dan brioux,
steve cooke, daniel corrigan, Julia lennox, eddie Majnemer, Alessandra Manieri,
thom Pardo, Ashley Peters, gavin Pounds and Jorge Vasconez hit the stage in March.

recipients were honoured at a special
reception earlier this year.
These outstanding Ryerson graduates have
excelled in their careers and have made a
significant contribution to their profession,
community and country.
Additional awards bestowed during the
evening were the Isadore Sharp Outstanding
Recent Graduate Award and the Outstanding
Alumni Volunteer Award.

Interior Design ’76, are world-renowned
interior designers.
• Jeff Zabudsky, Journalism ’86, is
president and CEO of Sheridan College in
Oakville, Ont.

GRADUATE AWARD: Lisa Codrington,
Theatre ’03, is a Toronto-based playwright
and actress.
• OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER AWARD: Ross
Mutton, Radio and Television Arts ’69,
has volunteered on the Ryerson University
Alumni Association board and serves on the
Ottawa alumni branch executive.
• OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI
AWARD: Carrole A.M. Guntley, Hotel,
Resort and Restaurant Administration
’75, is the director general for the Ministry
of Tourism in Jamaica.
