1950s
Jim Francis
“We celebrated 62 years since our graduation. Doug Young, from our class, and his lovely wife Audrey, who live in Punta Gorda, Fla., hosted this milestone anniversary at their beautiful summer home on Chandos Lake, north of Peterborough, Ont., amid great September weather. Although we were few in numbers, we enjoyed recalling the good times we had at the Ryerson Institute of Technology (as it was known in those days).”
1960s
Ronald (Ron) Ball
He established EHC Global in 1977, building a successful global business over the past 40 years. He continues to be a strong advocate of Ryerson and often credits his alma mater for helping to build the foundation required to succeed as an innovator and entrepreneur.
1970s
Tom Anselmi
He is the new president of the Ottawa Senators. Previously with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, he oversaw the Toronto Maple Leafs’ shift from Maple Leaf Gardens to the Air Canada Centre and was involved in the construction of BMO Field, home of Argonauts football and Toronto FC soccer. He is now tasked with leading the Senators’ move from Kanata downtown to the LeBreton Flats. He received the Ryerson Alumni Achievement Award in 2013.
Larry Horne
“After retiring from a second career in the Niagara wine business, I have written a memoir called Besotted: My Love Affair with Wine, published by Sonderho Press. Fellow author and RTA’ 73 alumnus Shaun Markey wrote ‘Really, enjoyed your book! Such wonderful travel stories, including the wine!’” horneland@msn.com.

Don Quarles
He has been appointed the executive director of the Indian River Festival on Prince Edward Island. He brings to the position his many years in the event and music industry as a presenter, promoter, marketer and ardent fan of songwriters and composers in Canada. The Indian River Festival celebrates its 22nd year in 2017.
1990s
Robert Schauer
He was among the 59 elected inaugural Fellows of the Chartered Professional Accountants in November, the profession's highest distinction in recognition of career achievements and community contributions.
Lindsay Steward Glor
He was appointed director of strategic communications and client relations, in the marketing communications office at the University of Manitoba in November.
