Plan your experience. Experience the extraordinary. Here are five simple tips to keep your wine adventure relaxing, fun and headache-free. PLAN YOUR DAY Start by doing your research. Identify the wineries that pique your interest, then use the maps in this Guide to plan a route. We recommend you don't try to cover too much ground. Try 4 or 5 wineries, with a stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants. Track your visits to Wine Country by checking off the "visited" box next to each winery listing. The best part of having so many wine regions close by is that you can always come back! TASTE RESPONSIBLY Wine is a beautiful thing, but drink sensibly if you truly want to "enjoy." Choose a designated driver or arrange for a hired car. The truth is you also don't have to swallow every drop. Tasting rooms have spittoons to dispose of wine you don't want to drink. Finally, make sure to eat a hearty breakfast and snack en route so you're not tasting on an empty stomach.
