* Enjoying recognition of the committee efforts by ASCE and
the Structural Engineering Institute. A new ASCE committee
on Electric System Foundations has been established, and its
first meeting was held in early December 2019. Many of our
DFI committee members are on this new ASCE committee
and will be able to provide significant input on foundation
design and construction.

Cincinnati, Ohio, June 4-5, 2019.

Helical Pile Anchorages Subjected to Cyclic Lateral Loads,
including scale models, simulations and analysis, by
researcher Professor Serhan Guner, P.Eng., University of

* Published the Helical Pile Foundation Design Guide.
* Developing standard specifications for helical soil nails.
* Preparing a committee-endorsed engineering
instruction/training program for helical designers.
* Planning the next phase of the Helical Seismic Research
Study, including full-scale field testing to be performed by

* Working on two draft ASTM Standards on helical pile testing
