CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND PROPOSALS

IFCEE has always been the premiere foundations event. For 2024, we are bringing it to a whole new level. We want the
engineering and contracting community to dig in, see more and learn more. We're looking for presentations and session
ideas (indoors and outdoors) that are beyond the norm. Project stories not shared anywhere else; research that is on
the edge of the edge; failure stories that can inform future generations; and interesting concepts to make a better,
smarter workforce. This is the place to raise eyebrows, to elicit oohs and aahs, and to MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!
The program will include technical paper and poster sessions, special sessions, short courses, indoor exhibits, outdoor
equipment exposition, technical committee meetings, and networking events. The conference attracts a wide range of
attendees including general and specialty contractors, consulting and design engineers, policy makers, owners,
researchers, educators, and students.
Technical Program
The technical program will include podium and poster presentations, special sessions, and short courses. Topics include
geotechnical and foundation engineering design and analysis, construction, testing, quality assurance, sustainability,
contracts and procurement, research, and case histories. We encourage papers, sessions, and short courses that include
viewpoints of various industry stakeholders; lessons learned; innovative solutions for challenging foundation and
excavation applications; advancements in construction methods, materials, and equipment; contractor
optimization/value engineering; and use of quality control and assurance processes to increase project value.
Podium and Poster Presentations
Technical paper abstracts for podium and poster presentation must be submitted online via the CATALYST Submission
System. Abstracts may be up to 500 words long (images, tables, or other graphics are not to be included). Detailed

be published as a series of technical Geotechnical Special Publication (GSP) volumes.
