New Dates. Registration is open for the 5th International
Symposium on Deep Foundations being held May 12-13,
2022, in Mexico City. The Mexican Society for Geotechnical
Engineering (SMIG), Deep Foundations Institute and GeoInstitute
are hosting the event.
This conference provides a forum for promoting technical
development, and for sharing of international experiences
about design and construction of deep foundations. A
particular focus will be on deep foundations, soil
improvement, retaining systems and testing. There will also
be a workshop for women in geotechnical engineering and a
workshop on geotechnical solutions to specific problems.
The symposium is aimed at geotechnical engineers,
builders, project managers, manufacturers, suppliers,
consultants, academics, students, users and all those
interested in deep foundations.

Conference 2022
November 16-18, 2022 | Sydney, Australia
The DFI-PFSF Piling & Ground Improvement Conference has
been rescheduled for November 16-18, 2022, at the
International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. This
conference promotes all aspects of deep foundations, earth
retention and ground improvement works. Sessions cover
design, testing, construction, ground improvement, risk and
project delivery practices, challenging project case studies,
and developments and innovations.
Proceedings of the 40 papers are available ahead of the
conference. Registrants will receive access to the proceedings
as soon as they sign up to attend.
Save the dates for DFI-India 2022: 11th Annual Conference on
Deep Foundation Technologies for Infrastructure
Development in India, being held September 15-17. The
conference theme is Collaborate, Learn and Educate.
The objective of the conference is to present and
deliberate the successes and failures of geotechnical
foundation construction in major projects - helping the
industry to select the right strategies and techniques for
future adoption.
Presentations will focus on the following themes:
* Deep Foundation and Deep Excavation Techniques for
Metro and High-Speed Rail

Innovative techniques & Testing for Geotechnical
Investigations; Monitoring, Performance and QA-QC of
Deep Foundations

The 6th International Conference on Grouting and Deep
Mixing, originally planned for February 2022, in New Orleans,
has been postponed until January 15-18, 2023. The
conference is being presented by Deep Foundations Institute
(DFI) and the International Conference Organization for
Grouting (ICOG), with support from Geo-Institute's Grouting
