Committee are pleased to support the
Federal Highway Administration's
(FHWA's) Every Day Counts initiative
ca l l ed Advanced Geo t echni ca l
Methods in Exploration (A-GaME).
Every Day Counts is a state-based
model that identifies and rapidly
deploys proven, yet underutilized,
innovations to shorten the project
delivery process, enhance roadway
safety, reduce traffic congestion and
integrate automation. A-GaME is
a imed at mi t i gat ing r i sks and
improving reliability by optimizing
geotechnical site characterization with
proven, effective exploration methods
and practices. The main technologies
being advanced are cone penetration
testing (CPT/SCPT), electrical methods
(ER, IP, SP), measurement while drilling
(MWD), seismic methods (refraction,
surface waves, FWI, tomography, and
reflection), and optical and acoustic
televiewers (OTV/ATV). DFI is hosting
A-GaME's winter webinar series

Members of DFI's
Soil Mixing Committee
are actively
supporting Deep
Mixing 2021, the
seventh edition of this conference that
showcases all aspects of deep mixing
occurring internationally. For 25 years,
this conference series has been a forum
for global exchange of important
advances in materials, equipment,
process control, design, research and
project delivery mechanisms. Deep
Mixing 2021 is an all-online workshop
presented in six sessions (June 1 and 3,
8 and 10 and 15 and 17 - with three
hours per session). Sessions will
include keynote lectures, featured
presentations, research and detailed
discussion on specific aspects of the
following topics: the state of the
practice internationally and lessons
learned, material properties, field

projects. These include event programs,
technical papers and reviews, research
projects and white paper studies, workshops
and creating technical libraries of
case histories. Over 20 DFI committees,
including online members, met as well
during the International Foundation
Congress and Equipment Exhibition
(IFCEE) in Dallas in May, and will have
the same opportunity again at SuperPile
