DFI 2022 Events
Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) and the International
Conference Organization for Grouting (ICOG), with support
from Geo-Institute's Grouting Committee, are presenting the
6th International Conference on Grouting and Deep Mixing,
February 13-16, 2022, in New Orleans. This legacy event
celebrates 40 years of grouting technology and practices,
covering all types of grouting for foundation projects.

Conference 2022
February 23-25, 2022 | Sydney, Australia
The DFI-PFSF Piling & Ground Improvement Conference is
currently planned for February 23-25, 2022, at the
International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, pending local
COVID-19 restrictions. This conference is intended to
promote all aspects of deep foundations, earth retention and
ground improvement works. Sessions will cover design,
testing, construction, ground improvement, risk and project
delivery practices, challenging project case studies, and
developments and innovations.
Led by Technical Committee Chair Slav Tchepak, P.Eng., of
Keller Foundations, and Co-Chairs Bruce McPherson of
Douglas Partners, Harry Poulos of Coffey and Patrick Wong of
PKW Geosolutions, the Technical Program Committee is
planning an insightful time of education and professional
development for this conference.
The Mexican Society for Geotechnical Engineering (SMIG), DFI
and Geo-Institute are hosting the 5th International Symposium
on Deep Foundations, March 3-4, 2022, in Mexico City.
This conference will provide a forum for promoting
technical development, and for sharing of international
experiences about design and construction of deep
foundations with a particular focus on deep foundations, soil
improvement, retaining systems and testing. There will also
be a Women in Geotechnical Engineering workshop and a
solution-based workshop.
Geotechnical engineers, practitioners and consulting
engineers, public and private contractors, academics,
students and all those involved with engineering works
related to deep foundations, are encouraged to attend.

Proceedings are available ahead of the conference. Anyone
purchasing access to the proceedings online can deduct that
cost ($125 AUD) from their conference registration. To whet
your appetite, the program committee has selected a paper
from the proceedings that you can download from the event
website: " Effective Specifications Related to Performance and
Materials Construction and Stability Risks for Fluid Supported
Deep Excavations and Their Effects on Design Parameters, " by
Martin D. Larisch, Jacobs NZ. The 40 papers accepted by the
technical review committee focus on:
