This three-day event includes
DFI, in partnership with The International
Association of Foundation
Drilling (ADSC), is hosting SuperPile '24
on June 12-14 in San Francisco.
presentations and panel discussions
that highlight design approaches for
foundation optimization, innovative
approaches to foundation construction,
and case studies and topics relevant to
the West Coast.
Conference highlights include DFI
technical committee meetings; exhibits
from more than 75 manufacturers,
suppliers and service providers; and the
Women in Deep Foundations (WiDF)
networking reception.
Conference Chairs
Conference Chair Brian McGlynn, P.E.,
is a regional sales engineer with Farrell
Design-Build, a Menard Company. He
has spent the past decade in the ground
improvement and deep foundations
industry primarily serving the Gulf
Coast and West Coast markets.
In addition to DFI, McGlynn is an active
member of the American Society of
Civil Engineers and the California
Geotechnical Engineering Association
(CalGeo). He has a bachelor's degree in
civil engineering from the University of
Pittsburgh and a master's degree in geotechnical
engineering from Texas A&M
University. He currently resides in Seattle.
Program Chair Maura Ruffatto, P.E.,
is a principal engineer at Cornerstone
Earth Group. She has more than 10
years of experience in geotechnical
engineering, and has performed geotechnical
investigations for educational,
commercial, residential and
public works projects throughout the
San Francisco Bay Area and California.
Ruffatto has significant experience in
earthwork and mass grading operations,
foundation design, excavation
shoring and dewatering, soil stabilization,
pavement design and rehabilitation,
seismic design, retaining walls,
geotechnical instrumentation and
monitoring, linear infrastructure,
ground improvement, rock and soil
slope stability, soil laboratory testing,
and geotechnical value engineering.
Ruffatto is an active member of DFI
and CalGeo. She has a bachelor's degree
in civil engineering from California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis
Obispo and a master's degree in geotechnical
engineering from University
of California, Davis.
