WELCOME
Welcome to Cleveland! On behalf of Emerald Expositions, Healthcare Design magazine,
The Center for Health Design, and the Academy of Architecture for Health of the American
Institute of Architects (AIA/AAH), we're pleased to have you with us for the 2021 Healthcare
Design Expo & Conference. The next few days will be a wonderful opportunity to connect
with thousands of your peers to explore, discuss, and tackle the most innovative ways to serve
the healthcare community.

Thank you to our additional partner associations: the International Interior Design Association;
Association of Medical Facility Professionals; Nursing Institute for Healthcare Design; American
Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers; and Institute for Patient-Centered Design. Our partnerships
allow us to continue to provide the most comprehensive educational event in the industry.
This year, the HCD Conference offers 126 educational sessions in 12 tracks, with three session types: educational (traditional setting, one hour);
deep dive (in-depth look at a singular topic, two hours and 15 minutes); and interactive (a small roundtable-style discussion). Attendees can
earn 20 continuing education hours for AIA and IDCEC, 18 EDAC hours, as well as 13 contact hours for Continuing Nursing Education.
We have two big keynote sessions-featuring Kate O'Neill, CEO of KO Insights and author of " Tech Humanist " on Sunday, and ending with
George Tingwald, Administrative Director of Medical Planning at Stanford Health Care on Monday-to inspire you, along with our annual
Healthcare Design Magazine Awards Luncheon (free to all attendees) on Sunday.
More inspiration can be found on the expo fl oor, where more than 185 exhibitors spread across 41,000 square feet of space will present
their latest and greatest products and services to consider for your next healthcare projects. Get your fi rst look at these offerings Sunday from
4-6:30 p.m. during our opening reception. Come have a drink with us and chat with your colleagues and friends about the day's sessions as
you connect with leading manufacturers and service providers.
Speaking of making connections, after a full day of sessions and exhibits on Monday, take the time to unwind and enjoy your peers' company
at the offi cial show networking social--the Cleveland ROCKS Networking Party--on Monday night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Global Center
Atrium, located on the fi rst level of the Huntington Convention Center. Grab your favorite concert tee and join us for great food, drinks, and
rockin' tunes as you mix and mingle with your industry colleagues and peers. A big thanks to AVA by Novalis and Hillrom, our networking party
