Industry Group Changes CEOs
The U.S. Cannabis Council (USCC), an industry trade group, appointed
Curaleaf Holdings executive Khadijah Tribble as interim CEO, replacing
Steven Hawkins.
The USCC said in a statement that Tribble will continue her role as
senior vice president of corporate social responsibility at Curaleaf, a
Massachusetts-based multistate operator, " during her interim term as CEO. "
No time frame has been set for Tribble's term, but it is intended to be
transitional, the USCC said.

USCC's first CEO from February 2021 until August 2022-exited the group.
Tribble, who joined Curaleaf in March 2020, founded cannabis policy education group Marijuana Matters
in 2017 and served as CEO of the Marijuana Policy Trust, which helps develop and run diversity, equity and
inclusion (DEI) programs in the cannabis industry. Tribble also serves on the USCC's DEI Task Force.
" My priority is advancing meaningful cannabis reforms through Congress this year that will provide
the foundation for achieving our ultimate goal of federal descheduling while fostering an equitable and
inclusive legal cannabis industry, " Tribble said in a statement.
The USCC has about 50 members, including U.S. multistate operators, large Canadian producers, ancillary
businesses and single-state companies.
Curaleaf Hires C-suite Trio
Massachusetts-based multistate
operator Curaleaf Holdings installed
three new hires to C-suite positions.
Ed Kremer will serve as chief
financial officer, Camilo Lyon as
chief investment officer and Mitch
Hara as chief strategy officer, a
new role at the company.
Kremer joins after spending
10 months with Florida-based MSO
Jushi Holdings. Before cannabis,
Kremer spent two years as chief
operating officer at Le Tote, an
online women's clothing retailer,
and 2½ years as chief financial
officer at 360fly, a mobile phone
camera app. He also served in
finance roles at Beats by Dre,
Oliver Peoples and Oakley.
Lyon will lead capital markets
and investor relations as Curaleaf's
first chief investment officer. He
most recently worked as managing
director at BTIG, a financial
services firm where he covered the
consumer and cannabis sectors.
Lyon also worked at Canaccord
Genuity, Bank of America and
Goldman Sachs.

Hara most recently was head
of mergers and acquisitions and
business development at Clever
Leaves International. His finance
career also included posts at Citi,
Wasserstein Perella, Merrill Lynch,
PJ Solomon and HSN.

Carrillo is also the CEO of Adnant,
a cannabis-focused accounting and
consulting firm he founded in 2011;
the interim chief financial officer
at Cookies, a post he has held for
4½ years; and chair of the board at
Operators Only Corp., a Californiabased
retail marijuana company.
Carrillo co-founded two cannabisfocused
funds where he is also a
general partner: Mesh Ventures and
1212 Ventures. He also has served as
a consultant to numerous cannabis
companies, including Acreage
Holdings, Beboe, GlassHouse Group,
GTI, Loudpack, NorCal Cannabis Co.,
Shryne Group and Verano Holdings.

Carrillo subsequently appointed
Robert Baca as interim chief legal
officer. The company is in the
middle of a previously announced
restructuring plan.

County Bar Association's Cannabis
Section Policy Subcommittee.
