New COO
Thrive Cannabis
Marketplace,
an independent
marijuana
retailer
in Nevada,
appointed Brandon Wiegand as
chief operating officer.
Before joining Thrive, Wiegand

of directors. The former chair, Ryan
Kunkel, resigned to focus on other
professional endeavors.
Field joined Oregon-based Halo
in April 2019, serving initially as chief
strategy officer. She has held the
role of president since February 2020
and board member since July 2021.
Field first entered the cannabis
was with Nevada-based retailer
The Source+ Holding, where he
spent five-plus years, serving as
operations director, then regional
general manager and ultimately
chief commercial officer. In those
roles, he led the company's
transition from a public to private
entity and planned and executed
the openings of additional
dispensaries across the state.
Before The Source+, Wiegand
was the director of operations
at The Grove Investment Group,
a vertically integrated cannabis
enterprise in Nevada where he
developed standard operating
procedures and managed
production, branding and
distribution of concentrated
products.
Wiegand currently serves as
president of the Nevada Cannabis
Association.
Katie
Field
industry in 2014 at Costa Farms,
where she led the procurement,
build-out and sale of one of five
original vertically integrated
companies in Florida. Subsequently,
she operated a strategy consulting
practice focused on cannabis and
worked at Massachusetts-based
MSO MariMed as executive vice
president of corporate development.
Before cannabis, Field spent
nearly four years as a manager
with The Brookings Institution and
almost two years as a consultant
with Bain & Co.
New CEO for Canadian
Cannabis Company
Christina Lake Cannabis Corp., a
cultivation and extraction company
in Vancouver, British Columbia,
appointed veteran cannabis
executive Mark Aiken as chief
executive officer. Most recently,
Aiken was vice president of
strategic business development for
Hexo Corp., a licensed producer in
Ottawa, Canada.
Aiken began his career in sales
positions with organizations that
include Rema Tip Top AG, Vortex
Aquatic Structures and Plombco.
Joel Dumaresq, who held the
role of interim CEO, will remain on
the company's board of directors.

Flowr Taps New CEO,
Makes Board Changes
The Flowr Corp., a Toronto-based
licensed cannabis producer with
operations in Canada, Europe and
Australia, hired Darren Karasiuk

as its CEO and director; Stephen
Arbib will serve as chair of the
board of directors.
The company also appointed
Marvin Singer to the board. Tom
Flow, who had served as interim
CEO since March, remains on the
board along with Joanne Lee and
Ryan Roebuck.
Before joining Flowr, Karasiuk was
CEO of Nova Cannabis, a Canadian
marijuana retailer. He also was
chief commercial officer at Aurora
Cannabis and served in several
executive roles at MedReleaf, a
Canadian licensed producer sold to
Aurora in 2018.
Arbib is a Canadian entrepreneur,
philanthropist and significant
shareholder of Flowr. He is the
founder and CEO of Momentum
Solutions, a logistics and life
support service provider. Arbib
founded MedReleaf in 2013.
Singer has acted as a director
and corporate consultant to
private and public companies since
January 2020, when he retired from
practicing corporate and securities
law after 40 years. In his most recent
law position, he was a senior partner
in the international law firm Norton
Rose Fulbright Canada from 2005 to
2019. Singer also served as a director
for Nova Cannabis and is currently
a director of Osino Resources Corp.
