Support for marijuana reform is at an all-time high among federal lawmakers-especially among Democrats, who control the U.S. Senate, but also among a growing number of Republicans, who control the House of Representatives. Many observers also note that support for marijuana reform increasingly has less to do with political party and more to do with generation. Political pundits say younger members of Congress, regardless of their political affiliation, are more likely to support marijuana reform than their older colleagues. U.S. Rep.
