It was an absolute privilege to work on this project alongside my team and the owners, who had been working their whole lives to build a space with a mission I truly believe in. While petite and minimal, it was a deeply considered labor of love, and great honor to collaborate with local craftspeople and a truly lovely team. It was inspiring to create a place that is founded on celebrating a community and its bounty. Who should we be paying attention to right now? Local makers! I think it's so important for us to elevate craftspeople in the spaces we create. It's a privilege to learn from people who are masters of their craft, and engaging local folks makes for a richer space that everyone can feel more connected to.
