If I weren't a designer, I'd be: A journalist or creative writer. I debated interior design and journalism as my major when applying to college. Personal style? I consider my personal style to be sophisticated yet relaxed. I lean toward muted earth tones with layered patterns and texture. I consider it to be the greatest compliment when friends say, 'Your home is so welcoming.' Trend you're loving? I'm happy to see color and pattern has made its way back along with the encouragement of mixing and matching. There is a resurgence of restoring neglected spaces and bringing them back to life with a fresh aesthetic. I was young and very green to hospitality design. It's a historic hotel with every guestroom serving as its own room type. I'm so grateful to have experienced the project with some of the best in the industry. Those lessons learned shaped the designer I am today.
