CI Expo to Collaborate with NSCA on Education Sessions

Expo, the new tradeshow
and conference for the commercial
audiovisual integration
channel and technology
managers, has announced
a partnership with National
Systems Contractors
Association (NSCA). At
Commercial Integrator Expo
2023, taking place Sept. 6-9
in Denver and co-located
with CEDIA Expo, NSCA will
provide business education
sessions and networking
opportunities.

industry, including
systems contractors/integrators,
product manufacturers,
consultants, sales representatives,
architects, specifying
engineers and other allied
professionals. NSCA's mission
is to raise the level of
competency in the industry
through regular educational
programs.
This will not be the first
time Emerald, the owner
and producer of Commercial
Integrator Expo, has collaborated
with NSCA. Since
2011, the trade association
has worked with Commercial
Integrator magazine on the
annual State of the Industry
survey, report and webinar.

As part of the partnership,
NSCA will provide a full day
of educational sessions on
Wednesday, September 6,
2023 (prior to CI Expo 2023
opening on September 7).
These sessions will be centered
around systems integration
skills such as project
management, finance, sales
and operations skills for systems
contractors/integrators,
product manufacturers,
consultants, sales representatives,
architects, specifying
engineers and other allied
professionals.
Design & Construction Week Draws Record Attendance
MORE THAN 200,000 housing and design professionals
from across the globe flocked to Las Vegas for Design &
Construction Week 2023, the co-location of the National
Kitchen & Bath Association's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show
(KBIS), the National Association of Home Builders' International
Builders' Show (IBS) and the three co-located industry
shows, the National Hardware Show, The International
Surfaces Event and the Las Vegas Winter Market.
The five shows gave DCW attendees a unique and convenient
opportunity to visit multiple industry events with just
one badge.
" It's truly remarkable what we have accomplished these past
10 years in our industry, " says Bill Darcy, CEO of NKBA. " Tradeshows
are back, and this year in Las Vegas proves just that. You
could feel the positive energy flow through the show floor. "
This year's event, held at the Las Vegas Convention
Center from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, boasted the highest attendance
in DCW's 10-year history. DCW's total attendance was

composed of 40,000 KBIS attendees and nearly 70,000 IBS
attendees. DCW 2023 attendees visited more than 1,800
exhibitors showcasing across about 1 million net square feet
of exhibit space.
" Wow, KBIS '23 was simply amazing, " enthuses Jason
McGraw, CTS, Emerald group vice president for KBIS and
CEDIA Expo. " Crowds of smiling attendees packed the aisles
throughout all three days of the show. KBIS '23 attendance
was up 35% vs. the pre-pandemic '20 show the last time we
were in Las Vegas.
" And with more than 50% first-time attendees, exhibitors
were not only reconnecting with long-time channel partners
but were also engaging with new designers and builders they
hadn't met before. "
The co-dated shows' drew the following; NHS, 17,000
attendees; TISE, 25,000; and Las Vegas Market welcomed
50,000. Next year, DCW will return to Las Vegas from Feb.
27-29, 2024.
