KONKA Targets U.S. Smart Homes
Chinese manufacturer follows up on TV debut in U.S. market with video doorbells,
cameras, switches, plus and lighting products. BY JASON KNOTT

OLLOWING UP ON ITS debut

of KONKA TV displays in early
2020, China-based TV maker
KONKA is now expanding its U.S. presence by entering the smart home market
with an array of entry-level products,
including smart doorbells, surveillance
cameras, switches, plugs and lighting.
Via its KONKA North America subsidiary, the KONKA Group used Digital
CES 2021 to debut smart home products
that go along with its KONKA TV. The
new KONKASmart product lineup will
be available in North America beginning
in spring 2021.
KONKA debuted its TV displays for
the U.S. market at CES 2020 with a lone
of 4K OLED and QLED TVs, as well as
a MicroLED video wall.

a focused line-up of key KONKA Smart
Home products that all work together to
create the new KONKASmart home. "
All the new KONKASmart products
will be controllable via the KONKASmart
OneApp, allowing all KONKASmart
products to be controlled by one simple
App. Plus, all products are Wi-Fi, so no
hub is needed.
In addition, KONKA Android TVs
will integrate with the new KONKA
Smart Cameras. With CameraView,
when someone presses the KONKASmart
Video Doorbell, the image can automatically appear on the TV screen. All
KONKASmart Cameras can be viewed on
the TV screen, making the TV the hub of
a KONKASmart home.

KONKASmart products will also
feature interoperability features such as
Works with Google Assistant, Works with
Alexa, and Works with IFTTT.
Based in China and one of that country's
" Top 10 most valuable brands, " KONKA
sells products in over 100 countries worldwide, using its 35 years of experience as a
manufacturer to develop, design and engineer products specifically for each market.
KONKA's initial smart camera offering includes two video doorbells and
two smart cameras. Key standard features
found in all four models are 1080p Full
HD; night vision; motion detection; live
view; two-way communication (with mic,
speaker and audio noise cancellation); 128bit AES encryption; multiple video playback options including an SD card slot;
elegant white with rounded edges design;
and water resistance.
The KONKA Anywhere Cam is a
battery-powered smart camera with
quick release batteries for easy access.
In addition to the standard features, the
Anywhere Cam includes a 130-degree
diagonal field of view, true PIR motion
detection with adjustable sensitivity, and
includes a wall mounting bracket.
KONKA is also introducing three
Smart Lighting models. The focused offering starts with the 60-watt equivalent A19
and also includes a directional BR30 for
use in high hats and a light strip.
Key features of these LED Lighting
models include dimming, tunable white
(from warm 2,800 to cool 6,500 Kelvin)
and multi-color RGB capability, according
to the company.
