HDR10+ GAMING Standard Introduced at CES
HDR10+ TECHNOLOGIES,
an industry group with over
128 licensees and nearly
5,000 supported devices,
has announced a new HDR
(high dynamic range) standard
called HDR10+ GAMING
released at CES 2022
last month in Las Vegas.
HDR10+ delivers a wide
range of benefits, including
high brightness and
color, standardization,
ease-of-implementation
and worldwide certification;
along with no licensing
fees and compatibility with
HDR10 content, according

PRO SR-28212ai Offers
Installation Flexibility
PRO AUDIO TECHNOLOGY (PRO) recently introduced the
versatile SR-28212ai loudspeaker, which features a 1.7-inch
advanced polymer compression tweeter, two ultra-high output
8-inch midrange drivers, and two 12-inch, 2000W woofers inside
a distinctive, aimable enclosure.
It serves as three loudspeakers in one: a high-output, fullrange
loudspeaker for LCR or surround applications, an LFE
(main) subwoofer, and a subwoofer for surround and Atmos
speaker bass management - all at the same time, and all within
a single 6-inch-deep enclosure.
Designed with residential surround-sound systems in mind,
the SR-28212ai can be configured with straight-firing axis-symmetric,
or 40-degree asymmetric waveguides which aim the
sound at a 40-degree angle to the loudspeaker's main axis.
This allows the sound to be " aimed " at the reference listening
position while the speaker is mounted flush in a flat architectural
wall. The SR-28212ai is also the first PRO product to utilize
PRO's new Theorem Waveguide, which offers on and off-axis
dispersion of critical high frequencies.

Roku TV Ready Certification
Program Expands
ROKU HAS ANNOUNCED NEW GROWTH and international
expansion to the Roku TV Ready Certification program.
New partners added during 2021 include Element, JVC, Pheanoo,
and Philips, with Polk Audio and Westinghouse joining
in early 2022.
These manufacturers add to an existing roster of Roku TV
Ready partners that include Bose, Hisense, TCL North America
and Sound United, parent company to Denon, Definitive
Technology and Polk Audio. Additionally, the program was expanded
internationally with partners launching in the United
Kingdom, Canada and Mexico.
For partners, the Roku TV Ready program includes an
easy-to-implement software development kit (SDK) and test
materials to fast-track integration. In addition to Roku TV
Ready, Roku also offers a wireless soundbar reference design
for companies looking to deliver high performance home
theater without running wires to the TV. " We've been thrilled

reference mode. It can even
support variable refresh rates
(VRR) at 4K 120fps.

maker of testing equipment,
which is working with the LLC
to provide multiple solutions
for SSTM.
HDR10+ GAMING products
will be available later this
year, in cooperation with a
broad range of companies,
including Game Mechanic
Studios, NVIDIA, and Saber
Interactive.
