Jan. 5-8
The annual CES will
take place in Las Vegas
January 5-8, with exhibits shared among the Las Vegas
Convention Center, Venetian Expo and Aria. Aria is where
the show's " C Space " area conference and exhibits will be
staged from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 4-7 (conference
only Jan. 4). Media Day events will be held January 3-4 at
Mandalay Bay. Exhibits at LVCC and Venetian Expo run 10
a.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan.
5, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on
Jan. 6-7, and 9 a.m. to
4 p.m. on Jan. 8.

This year's CTA
Smart Home Division
Mark of Excellence Awards ceremony will take place
in the LVCC, South Connector, Level 2, S227, on Friday,
January 6, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. As always, the event will
feature top installations and products, with coverage coming
up in the March issue of CE Pro. The Mark of Excellence
Awards also honors an " integrator of the year, " judged from
many worthy company submissions.

at press time. Among the other impressive numbers
shared by the organization leading up to the return of
the event in full force: 290 Fortune 500 global companies
have registered; 163
countries are represented
in registration,
with nearly one-third
(32%) coming from
outside the U.S.; and
57% of registered
attendees are in " senior-level "
positions.

At press time, CES had announced fi ve keynote
speakers for its C Space agenda at the Aria
Resort & Casino, including Delta Air Lines CEO
Ed Bastian and MediaLink founder and CEO Michael
E. Kassan. The
keynote, " Building
Connection &
Community in a
Non-Stop World, "
will explore how
consumer brands
are combining
BASTIAN
KASSAN
technology with ingenuity to engage followers and
create superfans. Other keynoters include CEOs from
John Deere, AMD and BMW.
