FISCHER: Networking,
surveillance, wire and cable,
accessories. If 2020 has
proved anything, it is that
the home network must
be as strong and robust as
possible, and that home and
business owners need dealer
support that is as robust
as the systems they are
installing.
LUTHER: We saw a big
uptick in networking through
2020 and we expect that
trend to continue. It's apparent
that some products
were not able to handle the
load of a full network when
everyone was working and
streaming from the home.
Our dealers noticed this too
and have shifted away from
traditional residential brands
and to the enterprise-grade
products to support what we
all know is the most important
foundation for technology
in the house. At the
end of the day, dealers don't
want to have any issues with
their customer's network.
We've partnered with Ruckus
and Netgate, and hired
dedicated staff to supporting
those lines.
CE Pro: In terms of house
brands, what's new, what's
popular, and what might we
see developed and offered
in 2021?
HOLZER: We have upgraded
all house brands and
will be offering them later in
the year. In addition, there
will be an expansion to the
PowerHouse Alliance A2V
line that will include products
that can be controlled
via an app on a phone or
tablet.

WHINNA: The SnapAV
brands are continually evolving
to incorporate the latest
features the market demands.
We recently released
an upgraded line of Episode
speakers and amplifiers. Our
network offerings have been
bolstered with the recent
addition of Access Networks
to our Brand portfolio.
Integrators now have
access to enterprise grade
network systems in addition
to our popular and ever
evolving Araknis brand. Not
only access to the products
but the best Network
technical service to back
them up. In 2021, we finished
business globally, and we will
be adding new products to
our portfolio soon.
As part of Resideo, ADI
carries numerous products
from our Products &
Solutions business across
Security, Comfort and Wire.
The new ProSeries Security
and Life Safety platform has
gotten high regards from our
customers and has been one
of our top selling products
over the past year.
FISCHER: We are very
excited! We have a few specific
products, very different
categories, in the pipeline
that will be revealed before
CE Pro: What is the norm
these days in terms of
integrators getting their
goods? Is it back to
warehouse pickup mostly,
curbside pickup, jobsite
delivery, other accommodations?
How has that
shifted since before the
pandemic? How are those
methods impacted by
geography at locations?
HOLZER: Delivery and
curbside pickup continue
to be popular methods
for purchasing goods. All
PowerHouse distribution
locations across the United
States have are open which

APPLEBY: ADI recently
launched our new Capture
video surveillance private
brand. Capture is an exclusive
brand from ADI and
includes an assortment of
top-performing cameras and
recorders that offer a simple
installation for cost-effective
solutions. We've also put
together pre-packaged and
ready-to-go kits to make
it easy for customers to
meet common installation
requests. Our private brands
strategy is another area
where we are investing in our
CEDIA Expo 2021. This will
provide additional revenue
streams for our network of
distributors, as well as their
dealers, and provide both
with solutions they have
been asking for. Stay tuned!
LUTHER: What some
may not be aware of is that
BlackWire is also a software
development house for
Control4, Elan, RTI, URC and,
hopefully, Crestron Home
in the near future. We've
been expanding our in-house
integrations, such as Ring
Events, to Elan and (soon)
RTI. BlackWire plans to roll
out more of these types of
integrations with even more
devices in the future.
