Dolby Labs Scientist to
Deliver CEDIA Expo Keynote

VISIONARY FUTURIST, neuroscientist and Dolby Laboratories chief scientist Dr. Poppy Crum will provide the keynote
address, " The Future of Storytelling, " Tuesday, Aug. 31, at
CEDIA Expo 2021 in Indianapolis, CEDIA announced.
Registration for the CEDIA Expo, whose show floor
opens the following day at the Indiana Convention Center
and runs Sept. 1-3, is slated to open June 9 for the Indianapolis event.
Crum builds technologies that leverage human physiology to improve the ways we interact with the world. Her
remarks will inspire smart home integrators to think about
how new technology and products create new human
experiences and ways of
storytelling.

CEDIA Expo 2021 will be following safety protocols from
the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) at the event. At
press time, those CDC guidelines were stricter than local
recommendations, and call for continued mask wearing.

Applications

ISE on Track for Barcelona,
London Events
DUE TO NEW city-wide COVID-19 regulations in Amsterdam and Munich, Integrated Systems Europe decided to
cancel events in these locations for 2021.
While the events slated for this month in Amsterdam and
Munich have been forced to close, the ISE events team is
still planning on hosting events in Barcelona (June 1-2, Fira
Barcelona) and London (June 23-24, Evolution, Battersea).
" Preparations for Barcelona and London are well underway as the governments ease restrictions in both Spain
and the UK and remain on target for the successful return
of events. We are looking forward to bringing the industry
together and delivering a platform for those who wish to be
there and that will be supported by key exhibiting partners,
a program of content and networking, " says ISE managing
director Mike Blackman. " These events will be supported
by our online platform ISE Digital, providing our global audience with the opportunity to join us online. "
