Vanco Expands PulseAudio
Portfolio with 5 New Products
VANCO INTERNATIONAL, a manufacturer of AV
distribution and accessories
products, has launched five
new AV distribution products
from its PulseAudio brand,
developed based on dealer
feedback. The new solutions
aim to help integrators in
both residential and commercial markets, and those working on outdoor AV projects
especially. To highlight a few:
The robust PAV1100 is
a Class D-based 100-watt
amplifier that can be used for
70/100-volt speakers. To assist resimercial installs, it also
includes three microphone
level inputs that supports,
condenser, dynamic and
wireless microphones, and
functions such as ducking.
The PA-SS4V is a low-profile speaker selector that
distributes high level stereo
signals from two sources in up
to four zones.
The PA-ADS1 is a compact
analog audio delay device
that incorporates a stereo
RCA audio input and output,
designed to resolve " lip sync "
issues in AV systems.
PulseAudio's PBSR is a
heavy-duty universal wall/
ceiling speaker mount that can
hold speakers up to 33 pounds.
Vanco's Pulse Audio offerings include an amp, speaker selector, speaker mount, mic preamp and analog delay device.
Finally, fulfilling dealer requests to address more commercial work, the company
developed the PA-MICPRE
microphone preamp. The preamp features XLR and ¼-inch
inputs and outputs, as well as
a ¼-inch output for mono or
stereo applications.
Vanco notes that since releasing its Beale Street Audio
brand BAV4250 and BAV2500
1,000-watt amplifiers last year,
its dealers have experienced
growth in the commercial/pro
audio market.

VOXX to Buy Onkyo Home
Entertainment Brands
VOXX INTERNATIONAL CORP. has signed a letter of intent
to acquire the home AV business of Onkyo Home Entertainment Corporation, with Sharp Corporation acting as its
partner in the business venture. As it stood at press time,
VOXX and Sharp would acquire the Integra, Pioneer, Pioneer
Elite and Onkyo USA brands from parent company Onkyo
Home Entertainment.
According to a recent press release, VOXX and Sharp have
been granted exclusivity while discussions remain underway.
The two companies have also entered into a binding agreement to move forward with this proposed transaction.
High End Munich in May 2022
HIGH END MUNICH, the annual hi-fi showcase at the MOC
Center in Munich, Germany, announced it has postponed the
2021 event due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.
Originally rescheduled to come back for September 2021
after being a casualty to the pandemic in March 2020, High
End Munich will now target May 19-22, according to the
event's website.
