Audinate Makes Dante Application Library SDK Fully Available
AUDINATE HAS ANNOUNCED
the full availability of its Dante
Application Library software
development kit, providing
all software developers with
access to the company's audio
networking technology.
The SDK allows developers to
integrate Dante device discovery
and subscriptions directly
into their software products for
conferencing, recording, lecture
capture, media playback or
other applications for a single
setup experience, the company
says. The SKD was previously
only available to a " select few, "
but now any software developer
has access Dante.
In a statement, Nick Mariette,
senior product manager at Audinate,
called Dante the " native
language of professional audio. "
According to the company's
announcement, Dante is the
protocol of choice in more than
91% of networked audio products
currently on the market.
" The success of any audio
software application hinges
upon customers being able to
easily connect to audio devices
in the system they are using, "
he said. " More and more audio
devices connect via Dante's
AV-over-IP. Dante Application
Library brings Dante network
functionality directly into applications,
giving users access
to an ecosystem of more than
3,000 Dante-enabled audio
products from more than 500
manufacturers. "
According to Audinate, the
Dante Application Library helps
simplify setup of unified communications
applications and
allows for easy deployment of
software-based digital signage
processors and audio utilities,
streamlines use of lecture and
courtroom capture software,
automates connections to DAW
applications for recording and
processing and makes configuration
of media player software
bulletproof.
Other features, according to
Audinate, include:

into native Windows and
macOS applications.

with all Dante hardware
and software implementations.
