What's one critical question your team always asks
clients in initial project meetings? Why?
" Why? " Why this site? Why this place? Why is it special? Why is it important
that we do this here, now, and with this group? All of these
questions centered around " Why " lead to uncovering and establishing
the project story and vision. A solid direction and purpose are something
everyone can get behind and engage with-from residents to designers
to contractors. Our collective Why is strong and guides decisions during
design, strengthens relationships, and ultimately creates meaningful
places that will serve communities and residents for a long time.
How does your firm answer industry goals for achieving a
sense of community and creating homelike environments
for seniors?
Cuningham is dedicated to learning about the communities we serve.
We explore the ecology of the site and region, the neighborhood, regenerative
design opportunities, and the future resident to influence the
experience of living in these residences. We dive into the history of the
place to inform and honor the project, while embracing innovation to
keep residents comfortable, safe, and healthy. We ground ourselves in the
principals of biophilia and wellness-holding connection to nature and
daylight at the forefront of resident and staff experience. And throughout
the process, asking-is it home? Would I live there?
Describe your business in one sentence.
Cuningham's global presence and depth of expertise designing hospitality
and entertainment environments allow us to create a Crafted Design
Experience that focuses on resident, visitor, and staff experience.
