BREAKDOWN: Heat-Transfer Vinyl on Team Atheltic Wear By Jamar Laster, Content Director Garment: Transfers were applied to the Holloway ladies Electrify Coolcore ½-zip pullover (style 222774). It is made of 87% polyester/13% elastane heather wicking knit that protects against the sun, with Coolcore technology that distributes moisture throughout the garment. Left-Chest Transfer: The left-chest " Tigers " logo was created with Stahls' CADCOLOR SuperTEK Sublistop printable heat-transfer vinyl (HTV), which inhibits dye migration. It was printed and cut on a Roland VersaCAMM SP300i large-format printer/cutter. Sleeve Transfer: The " Cross Country " text transfer was applied to the left sleeve. It was done with Stahls' CAD-CUT Premium Plus HTV material with a high-tack backer. Also, Don't Forget... 1. Time & Temp: The " Tigers " logo was applied at 280˚F-300˚F for 5 seconds using light pressure. It was peeled warm. The " Cross Country " text transfer was applied at the same temperature for 8-12 seconds using medium pressure and peeled hot. 2. Pillow Talk: Teflon pillows were used under the press area and excess material was covered with foam to reduce the likelihood of heat-press lines appearing after application.
