WHIRLPOOL CORP. HAS PARTNERED with Habitat for Humanity's
BuildBetter with Whirlpool initiative, which provides
more than 250 climate-resilient and energy-effi cient
homes to Americans in need of aff ordable housing over the
next three years. The initiative is part of the brand's global
corporate social responsibility approach - House + Home
- through which Whirlpool Corp. will support Habitat for Humanity
to build homes designed to better withstand storm
winds and natural disasters. Homeowners in the program
will be able to choose at least one feature that addresses an
issue specifi c to their state, which could include improved
flood or fire defense. Other initiatives between the two
entities include providing a range and refrigerator for every
new Habitat home built in the U.S. and Canada and naming
October Global Build Month, during which Whirlpool will
provide nearly $6 million in funding and home appliances
to Habitat organizations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil,
Argentina, India, Singapore, Poland and the U.K.

named ROBERT KAMINSKI
its new president. He has
spent 10 years with the
Hansgrohe Group and will
lead a team of more than
250 employees. Before joining
the company, Kaminski
held key roles with PHILIPS
CONSUMER ELECTRONICS,
SONY CORP. and HAIER.
GAGGENAU HAS BEEN NAMED the " Offi cial Home Kitchen
Appliance Partner " of the MICHELIN Guide, which reinforces
the brand's commitment to honoring talented artisans,
producers and makers who excel in their fi elds. The
brand will collaborate with chefs from MICHELIN-starred
restaurants for initiatives and events that will contribute
to the common mission of achieving and celebrating
culinary excellence. Gaggenau has also created a series
of events for its Club 1683 clients called " A Taste for Design, "
which will promote design professionals' engagement
in opportunities that celebrate haute cuisine and
its relationship with architecture and design. Project was

THE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (EF) of the International Furnishings and
Design Association (IFDA) has announced its 2021 Design Student Scholarship
winners. The 74-year-old global design industry alliance awards scholarships
to high-achieving design students. Sydney MacMann of Mississippi
State University won the IFDA Leaders Commemorative Scholarship, and
the Part-Time Student Scholarship went to Rosemarie Julia Weinstein of
Harcum College. Natalie Fleshman of Virginia Tech won the IFDA Student
Member Scholarship, and Farzaneh Akhavan of Woodbury University
was the winner of the Vercille Voss IFDA Graduate Student Scholarship.
Hannah Stineburg of Ball State University won the Ruth Clark Furniture
Design Scholarship, and Rebecca Covarrubias of Woodbury University
won the Tricia LeVangie Green/Sustainable Design Scholarship. Sofi a
Pozzi of the Fashion Institute of Technology was honored with the Barbara
Beckmann Textile Design Scholarship, and Colby Hopper of North Carolina
State Wilson College of Textiles won the IFDA Philadelphia Scholarship for
Textile Design. Mya Agee of Kent State won the Window Fashion Certifi ed
Professionals Fast Track Scholarship.
