CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS
Vancouver Region
The Vancouver region has been busy in 2022. In March, it started off the year with its first in-person
annual Trivia Night at Moose's Down Under. There were seven teams made up of reps, sponsors,
and designers for an evening of fun to kick off its busy event season. Thank you to the Platinum
sponsors: Formations Inc., Global Furniture Group, Heritage Off ice Solutions, Milliken Flooring,
Prostar Contracting, Tarkett, and West-Port Manufacturing.
The second event was the annual student roundtable in April, hosted at the Teknion Vancouver
showroom. Panel members included Adele Rankin from CHIL; Seng Sengsavanh, a designer and
teacher from LaSalle College; Candice Logan from Hager Design International; Ehsan Vali, design
principal of ValiDesign; and Tara Callaghan, an NEWH scholarship recipient in 2019 and current
designer at MCM Interiors.
The region had an incredible turnout for its hotel tour and networking event in May. Thank you to
wonderful support of the sponsors, the event was a huge success at the Exchange Hotel Vancouver
and Hydra restaurant. John Parkinson from ZGF Architects was able to join us and talk to us about
the concept, design process and making this project come to life with the Executive Hotel group.

In August, the region held its first fundraising golf tournament. Thank you to the sponsors, our
tireless volunteers, and amazing attendees who all contributed to a fun day at Mayfair Lakes Golf

The region looks forward to the rest of the year filled with more fun events, including its 11th Annual,
