PeopleForBikes' most bikeable city ratings.
In its fourth annual iteration, the data-driven
PeopleForBikes City Ratings considered
more than 750 cities and communities globally
to spotlight the ones best for bicycling
and to give city leaders actionable insights
to make biking better in their communities. In

park), and placing no bolts.
In addition to quickly removing the line after
they were done, the team picked up tourist
trash from the trail and made sure to leave the
area cleaner than they found it.

the Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association will " burn " prepurchased UPCO2 tokens to
support carbon-offsetting community
projects. The tokens let qualified projects
turn their greenhouse gas reductions into
tradable carbon credits. So, a 23-mile
bike ride in the Gunnison Valley will make a
round-trip drive from Denver carbon neutral.
The app lets you track your carbon offsets
as you move, and it displays a graphic
of all human-powered activity against
the community goal of offsetting 4,253
tons of carbon (over 9 million pounds of
CO2) and how the carbon credits are being

the United States, Brooklyn, Berkeley, and
Provincetown each ranked first in the large,
medium, and small city categories. Top international
cities for cycling included Canberra
and Alice Springs in Australia; Utrecht and
Groningen in the Netherlands; and Gatineau,
Longueuil and Montreal in Canada, all in the
province of Quebec, which all have bicycle
networks that make pedaling an enjoyable and
effective means of transportation.
