Safety & Security, a new multiregional
" Buy & Build " strategy in the fi re safety
and security industries launched by
founders Mike McLeod and Colin Harrold
in partnership with Concentric Equity
Partners, announces the acquisition of
Pacifi c Auxiliary Fire Alarm Co.
Based here, Pacifi c Auxiliary provides
commercial fi re alarm system design,
installation, testing, inspection, maintenance,
repair and monitoring services.
Rapid Fire is acquiring the company
from third-generation owner Derek Shackley,
who will remain with Pacifi c Auxiliary
in a leadership role moving forward.
Th e purchase represents the second
acquisition for the Rapid Fire platform
since its founding in March 2022 and expands
the platform into the West Coast
region. It's fi rst acquisition was of New
Mexico's Security & Access Systems in
September.
Pacifi c Auxiliary is said to be one of the
oldest fi re alarm companies on the West
Coast and has a history of innovation
and leadership in its addressable market.

to Growing Portfolio
Th e company was instrumental in the
construction and development of San
Francisco's extensive street call fi re alert
system, and also designed and commissioned
the fi rst occupant evacuation elevators
in the world in 2017, according to
the announcement.
Founded in 1889, Pacifi c Auxiliary
was acquired by Doug Shackley in 1974.
Doug's son Derek grew up in the business
and assumed control and ownership
in 2008.

of fi re alarm equipment for commercial,
multifamily and government customers
in the San Francisco Bay Area and has
worked on major, high-profi le projects
such as the Chase Center and Mission
Rock Waterfront.
Sting Alarm Addition Fortifi es Its Fire Off erings
▶ LAS VEGAS - Sting Alarm announces it has acquired Signal
Fire, a fi re protection company founded in 2007 and based here.
With this strategic acquisition, Sting Alarm says it will have
the ability to off er fi re protection products and services to
its commercial security customers throughout Las Vegas.
Similarly, Sting will also be able to off er its electronic security
solutions to Signal Fire's customers.
Signal Fire specializes in fire systems, monitoring,
inspections and service to maximize the fire safety of its
customers' establishments. Jaime Gomez, president and
founder of Signal Fire, will take on the role of vice president
at Sting Alarm.
