new announcements regarding its Cync line at CES 2023, held
here in January. Most importantly for integrators that have
Cync as part of their portfolio, the entry-level product lineup is
compatible with Matter, the new wireless protocol developed
by the Connectivity Standards Alliance.
The Cync Full Color Direct Connect Smart Bulb and the Cync
Indoor Smart Plug will be the first of the company's products
to transition to Matter compatible versions, with more products
to be upgraded soon afterwards. These Matter-compatible
products will replace previous versions as they hit the market.
Previously produced Cync products are not planned to receive
retroactive Matter updates at this time.

a brand of Allegion and provider of home security and access
solutions. The solution will give users an easy-to-install and
control experience that delivers enhanced safety and security
at home. An integration, made possible via the Cync app,

announces it is being acquired by Hexagon AB, a global leader
in digital reality solutions combining sensor, software and
autonomous technologies.
Hexagon acquires Qognify from Battery Ventures, a global,
technology-focused investment firm.
Qognify was formed in 2015 when Battery Ventures acquired
the physical security division of NICE Systems. In 2018, Qognify
acquired On-Net Surveillance Systems with its brands OnSSI
and SeeTec, forming a leading global player in the physical
security market.
Qognify's video management (VMS) and incident management
(EIM) solutions are used by companies and organizations
around the world to mitigate risk and reduce the impact of
incidents related to security, safety and operations, according
