Security Industry Mourns the
Loss of Cecil Hogan
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Cecil
Hogan, founder and president
of Security Consultants, based
here, passed away on April 24.
He was 73.
Hogan served as president
of the National Burglar & Fire
Alarm Association (NBFAA),
later renamed the Electronic Security Association
(ESA), from 2002-2004. He served
13 years on the ESA Executive Committee
and in 2004 he was awarded the association's
most prestigious award, the ESA
Morris F. Weinstock Award, which recognized
his lifetime of service to the electronic
security and life-safety industry.
During his ESA presidency, Hogan -

that is benefi cial not only to
all three organizations, but the
industry at large, according to

ESA. " As a businessman, owning and operating
a security company for almost 40
years, he leaves a legacy of kindness and
generosity that the industry will greatly miss
- but should also learn from and emulate. "
John Knox, past ESA president, remembers
meeting Hogan for the fi rst
time at an industry trade show in Atlanta
in the late 1980s.
" If you ever had a chance to speak with
Cecil, it is highly unlikely you would forget
him, " he recalls. " He was one of the fi rst
people to encourage me to get involved in
the Tennessee alarm association at a time
when I did not understand the value. "
ADT Biz Dev Officer Steps Down
BOCA RATON, Fla. - ADT
has made a number of changes
to its executive leadership
following the retirement of
Jim Boyce, president and chief
business development offi cer.
Boyce formally retired as of
Boyce
May 31. He will work as a consultant and
continue to advise the company's president
and CEO Jim DeVries. Boyce joined ADT
after the company acquired Defenders, its
largest independent dealer, in 2020.
Jeff Likosar has been named CFO and
president of corporate development, and
will assume responsibility for corporate
strategy, business development, partnerships
and communications. Supporting
Likosar will be company veteran Ken
Porpora, who has been promoted to executive
vice president of fi nance.
ADT also made Keith Holmes its exec12
utive
vice president and chief
revenue offi cer. Holmes comes
to ADT from Cox Communications,
where he served most
recently as the executive vice
president, head of Cox Business.
At ADT, Holmes will lead
go-to-market activities and teams, including
marketing, sales execution, off er development
and pricing.
Don Young, who was serving as the
company's CIO and executive vice president
of fi eld operations, has been named
executive vice president and COO. In
this role, he will now also oversee all aspects
of service delivery to customers.
ADT also added a new hire in Jill
Greer. Greer will act as the company's
senior vice president of fi nance, investor
relations and communications, and will
report to Likosar.

the company's former
chief revenue offi cer Tina
D'Agostin to CEO. She is
charged with spearheading
global expansion of the company's
AI-enabled facial authentication
solution for physical access control.
Prior to Alacatraz AI, D'Agostin
served as the general manager of
building technology and solutions for
Johnson Controls.
Vector Firm welcomes
Gannon Switzer as
vice president of sales
management consulting.
In this new role,
Switzer will deliver the company's
sales execution programs and sales
management playbook modules to
the fi rm's clients, which are primarily
system integrators and their technology
partners. He previously served as
a manufacturers' rep.
DMP appoints Scott
Mellecker to dealer
development manager for
New England. Dealers in
Maine, New Hampshire,
Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island
and Connecticut can look to Mellecker
for ongoing service and support. Before
joining DMP, he served as a commercial
account executive for metro west Boston,
working for one of DMP's national
integration partners.
Security 101 promotes former
COO Michael Walton
to the role of president for
Security Franchisors and
Security 101. In his new
role, Walton will oversee all franchising
operations and corporate department
managers will report directly to him. He
will continue to report to Security 101
Founder and CEO Steven Crespo.
