Commercial projects continue to lead the
way in video surveillance projects, but all
three sectors show decreases compared
to 2020 Deep Dive. Residential came in
3 installations lower, commercial .64 and
industrial .45.

Nearly half the responding security dealers and
integrators reported moderate to enormous
impact of the pandemic on new video business
sales and upgrades. However, almost one in five
were totally unaffected.

The only good news here was residentially, as those projects registered
exponential dollar growth with an upturn of $5,243. That
could be due to pandemic-induced work-from-home scenarios in
which customers upgraded residences. Multiplying by installation
averages yields $137,441, $536,748 and $859,236 residential,
commercial and industrial monthly revenue generation.
