solution providers, and extensive opportunities
to network with campus peers
from across the country.

The CSCs are premier events addressing
today's campuses and provide attendees

Beyond the physical security aspects of
protecting campuses from daily threats,

when discussing technology with end

Recently, Campus Safety announced
that retired Joplin School District Superintendent
Dr. C.J. Huff will be delivering
the opening keynotes at CSC West on
July 11 and at CSC Texas on Aug. 1.

The Campus Safety Conferences provide security pros with valuable insights and
networking opportunities.
In his presentation, titled " If I Had a
Dime ..., " Huff will discuss his and his
district's experience before, during, and
after the massive EF5 tornado that devastated
the schools and other buildings
in his district, as well as most of the surrounding
community of Joplin, Mo.
" If I had a dime for every time I said,
'You gotta take care of yourself before
you can take care of others!' I would have
been able to rebuild our entire community
after our disaster, " says Huff about
his experience following the 2011 twister.
" Prepare to Prevent " is the theme for
the 2023 Campus Safety Conferences.
By sharing experiences and leading
practices, the CSCs can help colleges or
schools/districts add to their safety toolkit,
and work with security specialists to
better prevent, respond to, mitigate, and
recover from incidents.
Topics that will be covered include:

at EDspaces will take place Nov.
7-9 in Charlotte, N.C. More details will
be available soon, and registration will
open this spring. For advanced registration

pass to a single day of the event (July 11
for West, Aug. 11 for Texas).
