the 2GIG New Home Program, a collaboration that combines the
family of 2GIG security and home automation products with the
smart home platform from Alarm.com. In addition to a complete
ecosystem of smart home products, the 2GIG New Home Program
supports builders with a wide range of tools such as community
management, design center collaboration, and sales and
marketing assets to ensure the builders' success in offering the
smart home experience to their buyers.
Free and designed to be turnkey to the builder, the program is
deployed and supported by a nationwide network of certified dealers
selling 2GIG products and Alarm.com service providers. This
gives homebuilders access to smart home technology along with a
simplified implementation process that doesn't require specialized
installers, allowing them to continue using their existing electrical
and HVAC subcontractors for installation during construction.
Leveraging the components of both the 2GIG and Alarm.com
traditional builder programs, these combined solutions include
complimentary model home gear and merchandising kits, focused
sales trainings for realtors and design center staff, design center
displays, builder marketing toolkits, community management,
self-guided model home tours and more.
The standard builders package provides the security system,
smart thermostats, video doorbell and smart lighting. These were
selected because they are the system elements homebuyers request
most often in a smart home, according to the announcement.

Resideo Invests in Smart Home Provider Brilliant
▶ SAN MATEO, Calif. - Brilliant announces a $40 million Series
B financing round led by Next47 and Celesta Capital with participation
by Resideo Technologies, August Capital, Peak State
Ventures, Gaingels and Miramar Ventures. The new capital brings
Brilliant's total funding to date to $61 million and will allow the
company to expand its product offerings and double down on its
sales strategy for single-family homebuilders, multifamily developers,
property managers and professional integrators.

excited to deepen our relationship with an innovator in
the smart home controls market, " says Travis Merrill, chief strategy
and commercial officer at Resideo.
Merril says Brilliant brings the smart home experience together
in a unique and user-friendly way. A key component of Resideo's
long-term strategy, he says, is partnering with residential technology
leaders to leverage its product and channel strengths to
provide even more value to customers and end users.
" We have teamed with Brilliant since their early days, and we
look forward to expanding this relationship across our product
offering and within our ADI distribution business, " Merril adds.
Brilliant's mass-market home control, lighting and automation
system is said to make it easy for homeowners, families and
guests to control smart home devices including lighting, thermostats,
cameras, doorbells, locks, intercom systems and more.
