here has the time gone? It's hard to believe we're already halfway through 2019 and while
there's still plenty to look forward to (summer has to be my favourite time of year), it's also
an opportune point to reflect on the past six months and set intentions for the second half of
the year. So often we find ourselves stuck in jobs, relationships and behaviourial patterns that
undermine our Ikigai (Japanese for "reason to live"). As a result, we lose our way and end up losing ourselves.
So, what if I was to tell you from now on, your No1 job was to get into a flow state? The best way to prepare for
the future is to be totally present. Often our purpose can be found in our "peak experiences"; the intersection
between what we love and are good at. This month's cover star, the incomparably talented Charlie Brooker,
exemplifies this. Not only is he the co-creator of one of the most provocative shows of our generation, he does
it alongside his best friend, Annabel Jones. Often completing one another's sentences, it's evident they enhance
each other's flow. My point? Make it your calling to find your calling. Then make it your mission to find your
