T

he themes of Balance are exactly the things I'm interested in: wellbeing, therapy, psychology,
positivity and so much more. And, of course, these are the sorts of areas you can experience firsthand at my upcoming Happy Place Festival. My passion for wellbeing came from my mother,
who introduced me to thinking about other things. Even as a child, I had a meditation cassette
(because I'm so old!) that we would listen to at home, and that normalised that whole world. I'm certainly very
grateful to her for that. A lot of my motivation for pursuing wellbeing also comes from solving sh*tty times
I've previously gone through; that makes me want to continuously look for new ways of thinking. They don't
always have to be practical, either. For me, it's about new angles, new perspectives and new ways of using my
brain. It was a blast spending time with the Balance team. I really hope you enjoy this issue, and I'll see a lot of
you guys at the Happy Place Festival!
