R ETA I L " It's a supportive and inclusive environment " Giosuè A Bonsu is a trainee developer at Next warehouse systems team " I was attracted to working for Next because the majority of the software used by the stores are developed in-house. I joined over a year ago and the time has flown by! " I'm in a graduate developer role - an 18-month position - in which I get to spend time training to become a developer through a variety of exciting projects. I'm currently working to finish my last six months before moving to full developer position. " Next is a supportive and inclusive environment that is full of opportunities to grow and learn, and I do feel like I've been positively encouraged to further my career here. So far, most of my training has involved a mix of real projects to learn new skills. " The most challenging part of being a developer is how rapidly the technology landscape tends to change - every six to 12 months - which means my work can become obsolete really quickly. However, the beauty of it is that it keeps me out of my comfort zone and pushes me to learn new technologies constantly.
