"It's an inclusive environment" Lauren Borodajko works at MoneySuperMarket Group as a graduate tester in the technology deparment, making sure the comparison website works efficiently and effectively. She graduated from Durham University this year with a degree in general engineering Feeling comfortable at work and enjoying spending time with those I'm working with are vital to me, so I'm glad I came to MoneySuperMarket. It's an inclusive environment that retains the career challenges I thrive on. I can speak to my colleagues daily and learn from their experience. It helps me adapt to situations I may not previously have been able to handle. The biggest challenge is not to be complacent when testing - to always look at everything as if it's for the first time. You must think about how a range of users could interpret it. As for training, I've been really lucky to join as part of the 2018 graduate scheme. I had no previous experience of being a QA [quality assurance] tester. As a graduate cohort of developers, QAs and UX [user experience] and UI [user interface] designers, we've learnt the business together. The company encourages its employees to develop new skills and we've each been given £300 each to help with this. I'm using mine to learn to play the piano.
