CHLOE GARDNER

Chloe is a Level 3 Professional Cookery
Apprentice at the college and recently
took first place in a national catering
contest. Employed as a Commis Chef
at Stratford Manor, she had already
emerged victorious from the preliminary
rounds and was judged on her
imagination and on her culinary and
presentational skills.
'I love being a chef - it involves
thinking up interesting menus and
creating new food combinations. I know
that I'm still learning, but the college
has been really supportive, and I'd like
to thank them for helping me,' she says.

NICK PRIEST

Nick is one of the youngest and newest
Teachers at Stratford. He joined the
college in January 2015 as a Student
Support Assistant and, having quickly
demonstrated his passion for education,
was given the opportunity to do some
part-time teaching just one month later.
In February he became a Learning
Coach, mentoring students, and in
August, when a full-time lectureship in
photography became vacant, he got
the job. As Nick progresses with his
teaching qualification, the college will
support him to achieve his full potential
while he helps others to realise theirs.
