Flying Colours Completes 10-Year
Inspection on a Bombardier Global XRS
for a European Customer
Flying Colours Corp. has completed a
Lufthansa Technik Supports Flair
Airlines' Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft
Lufthansa Technik and Canadian ultra low-cost carrier
Flair Airlines have signed a comprehensive Total
Component Support (TCS) contract covering repair
and overhaul of components for the airline's fleet of
Boeing 737MAX 8 aircraft. Up to 24 aircraft from the
airline's current and future fleet are included over a
period of ten years. Support for the aircraft started
in April 2021. With the TCS agreement, Flair benefits
from an individual supply concept that enables
short, rapid transport paths. The new contract also
includes support for the aircraft's Engine Related
Components. Component support of the 737 MAX
8 fleet will be ensured through a home base stock in
Toronto and Calgary.

120-month heavy maintenance inspection
for a Bombardier Global XRS aircraft.
In addition to the airframe inspection
and maintenance strip down, the aircraft
underwent additional upgrades
including the equipping of Ka-band
connectivity and ADS-B Out installation.
The Honeywell JetWave Ka-band
system necessitated hardware installation
of a tail-mounted antenna, cabin
router, modem and associated wiring to support global high-speed
connectivity. Full external paint work completed the aircraft enhancements
before redelivery to the owner. A further three Bombardier
Global aircraft are scheduled for ten-year heavy checks over the
next six months at Flying Colours Corp.' North America facilities.

Lufthansa Technik and Airbus Offer
Joint 'Temporary Cargo Cabin'
Lufthansa Technik and Airbus teamed up to offer
customers a reversible Cargo-in-Cabin solution
to satisfy urgent demand quickly and easily. The
solution for the Airbus A330 family comprises the
Supplemental Type Certificate, as well as material
kits to modify the passenger aircraft for temporary
cargo transport. Cargo capacity is increased by up to
15t of additional payload depending on aircraft configuration.
Together with Airbus, Lufthansa Technik
now responds with the " Temporary Cargo Cabin, " an
STC which allows modifying a passenger cabin into
a cargo hold. Finnair is the launch customer for the
" Temporary Cargo Cabin. " The approval process for
the STC is underway. The simple embodiment can
be carried out at any Part 145 provider worldwide.

C&L Aviation Group Signs Order
for Multiple ERJ 135/145 SemiPrivate
Aftermarket Modifications
C&L Aviation Services has signed an additional
contract for multiple ERJ 135 and 145 semi-private
aircraft modifications. The upgrades come on the
heels of recently completing similar upgrades on a
number of ERJ 135 aircraft. The project consists of
converting the aircraft to a 16-23 seat first-class experience
complete with in-seat power, LED lighting,
WIFI, removal of overhead bins, upgraded leather
interior seating, 1X1 seating using C&L's flat floor
modification STC and the installation of a premium
Bongiovi speakerless cabin audio system. C&L began
upgrading the cabins of ERJ aircraft in 2018 and since
then has performed over 20 such projects for multiple
customers ranging from 16 to 30-seat conversions.
